fabrics
One of the joys in life is finding a great fabric, and you can also find some in these great places.
Chandler’s Cottage
Leesa owns a delectable shop full of oriental and gold patterned fabrics. Duncan swoons over this shop, and we could happily spend all day and several hundred dollars in there if we were allowed to. Based in Beaumaris, Melbourne, a selection of fabrics are also available over the internet. Leesa's customer service is also fantastic.

Primitive Patches
Ann-Maree offers a more traditional range of fabrics, with some beautiful colours and small prints which are great for applique. Based in Mentone, Melbourne.

Carmel’s Fabrics
Where would I be without Carmels? It’s got the lot. A very very large range of fabrics. Some are only good for quilting backing, but if you’ve got time to trawl, you can find some pretty good pieces for awesome prices. Also stocks almost everything to do with sewing. Added bonus is the loyalty scheme, and did I mention the prices are really good? The service is also pretty good too.

Cute as a Button Patchwork
All Nancy Halvorsen fabrics - all the great Christmas stuff, and great prices too. I used her fabrics for the 'Work Like an Egyptian' quilt, 'Counting Sheep' quilt and the Homespun wine bags.
