November? Where did the year go???

I've finally finished the stitching on the 'Born to be Wild' quilt, and it's on to something different. I've been able to fit in a bit of quilt designing in between other 'official' graphic work. (If you ever want people to look at you like you're a complete idiot, go around your neighbourhood photographing traffic signs! - long story.) I've got the Mexican queen sized bed quilt on it's way, plus a single bed sheep themed quilt for kids, and a Bible stories quilt half designed also. There's just not enough free hours in the day! Duncan has designed a bag with a Mexican ancestor on it, but it's a little scary looking. Hmmm. I guess dragons are scary. I just forget that when I watch Duncan trying to sun tan his belly out in the courtyard.

I'm also working on finishing a stitchery for Christmas, which is based on a single bed quilt I designed years ago but never released. It's my first effort at colour pencil and stitching work, and I find it a really interesting effect. My problem with stitcheries is that they often don't stand out enough against surrounding fabrics. This colour pencil combo technique may be the answer...

till next time,

cheers,

Natashia and Duncan
