Once upon a Stitchery

Once upon a time there was a stitchery quilt made with love for a little girl or boy. The quilt was used every night to tell stories just before bedtime. There were lots of stories:
- The 3 little pigs
- Goldilocks and the 3 bears
- Jack and the Beanstalk (who needs a waterslide when you've got a beanstalk?)
- Rapunzel (hmmm... maybe tell the kids the PC version)
- The Hare and the Tortoise
- The Frog Prince (Love me!)
- Puss in Boots
- Little Red Riding Hood
Finished off with Lily and Will fabric from Bunny Hill/Moda, the quilt was a beautiful keepsake passed down through many generations. Using only a Jelly Roll and 3 extra fabric selections, it was also cheap as chips to make (though you don't have to tell anyone that). I've used green, so that the quilt can be either boy or girl, but there's a lovely pink and blue version if you're desperate to colour code!
Pattern consists of full size computer generated black line illustrations to easily trace again and again, with smaller key diagrams indicating thread colours. Don't want to do all that stitching? Why not use one panel for a quick library bag.
