Phoenix Hanging

The mythical phoenix (or firebird) is a common design motif in many cultures, from the middle east to Japan. A symbol of everlasting life, the phoenix was said to live for hundreds of years, and when near death, burn fiercely until it is ash, from which a new young phoenix arises, to live again. The wall hanging can also be used as a cushion, large bag or as a centre piece for a quilt. The hanging is finished off with a floral design based on several chinese embroideries.

The pattern comes sized at 100% on a large A2 paper, with template and pre-reversed pieces ready for tracing on fusible webbing.
