Work like an Egyptian
A large single bed quilt pattern derived from original images on tombs, jewelry and other artifacts, researched from several books on Egyptian art. (Duncan figures 4000 years is enough time for copyright to have lapsed.) The pattern is large and comprehensive, and includes over 30 pages of templates and pre-reversed pieces ready for tracing onto fusible webbing. It's not a project for the faint hearted, but something to really sink your fangs into.
The quilt incorporates the pieces from the Egyptian wall hanging, with some stunning additions such as the king in his chariot, and workers in the fields. There's also some fun hieroglyphics to stitch which have been selected for their graphic content - (although Duncan reckons they might say 'Dragons woz here, 3088BC').
Use geometric stripes and patterns for a real Egyptian flavour.
The King in his chariot will also be available as a cushion design in April 2010.
Price within Australia include GST.
